A stay at Camping Bois Chabry is an opportunity to discover a beautiful part of France, where nature, tranquillity and traditional French villages come together.
Our campsite is located in Louignac, in the green countryside of the Corrèze, close to the Dordogne. The area is full of rolling hills, forests, lively local markets and characterful villages where life still moves at a wonderfully relaxed pace.
Whether you enjoy walking, cycling, exploring local history or simply having a coffee in a French village square, there is plenty to discover nearby. And after a day out exploring, it is lovely to return to the peace and quiet of the campsite.
Enjoy nature right from the campsite
You do not always have to travel far to enjoy nature. We have created a walking path of approximately one kilometre on our own grounds. It is ideal for a gentle stroll through the greenery, stretching your legs or simply enjoying the peace and quiet close to your pitch.
There are also plenty of walking routes in the surrounding area. Cycling enthusiasts will find beautiful routes through the rolling countryside. Do bear in mind, however, that some roads can have quite steep climbs and descents.
Charming villages and authentic French character
The Corrèze and neighbouring Dordogne are known for their remarkable villages, old streets, castles and beautiful views.
Collonges-la-Rouge
A visit to Collonges-la-Rouge is highly recommended. This remarkable village is famous for its distinctive red sandstone houses, narrow streets and historic towers. Take your time wandering through the village, admire the unusual architecture and settle down at a café terrace.
Turenne
Turenne is a charming medieval village perched on a hill, with old houses, narrow streets and the remains of a castle. From the higher parts of the village, you can enjoy wonderful views across the surrounding countryside.
Brive-la-Gaillarde
Looking for a little more bustle? Visit Brive-la-Gaillarde. Its historic centre has welcoming streets, shops, café terraces and a lively market full of local produce. The markets are a lovely way to discover the flavours and atmosphere of the region.
Local markets and the French way of life
A holiday in France would not be complete without a visit to a local market.
In the surrounding villages, local producers sell cheese, vegetables, fruit, bread and other regional specialities. It is the perfect place to pick up something delicious for lunch, sample local treats or simply enjoy the friendly atmosphere of a traditional French market.

Lakes, nature and a refreshing escape
The surrounding area also offers plenty of opportunities to get outdoors and enjoy the water.
At Lac du Causse, you can go for a walk, spend a relaxing day by the water or enjoy a range of recreational activities. The lake and its green surroundings make a lovely destination for anyone who wants to combine nature and relaxation.
There are also other natural areas, waterfalls and beautiful spots throughout the region where you can pause and take in the scenery.
An area to explore at your own pace
One of the best things about the Corrèze is that you can plan each day exactly as you like. One day, head out for a walk or visit a historic village. The next, enjoy a local market, sit at a café terrace or simply spend a peaceful afternoon at the campsite.
You do not need to see and do everything. The combination of lovely days out and the tranquillity of Bois Chabry is what makes a stay here so enjoyable.
